Icelandic Horses, breeding and training facility. The horses are a rare breed because they are purebread and maintaining this is tightly controlled by the icelandic government. They were bought over here to Austrailia by Harris farris farms founders, David and Cathy Harris. And run by farm manger Mark Phylis. Our Story – Megalong Icelandic Horses
Most of the construction for these horse yards involved digging and drilling lots of holes. The hardest part was keeping everything straight and square, and drilling holes in hardwood can be time consuming. Everyone was really happy with the result and they ended a fairly impressive set of yards for some impressive horses.
When the yards where completed there was an opening event held that mostly consited of those riding in the event, those that built the yards, and a bunch of wealthy investors and potential buyers of this rare purebread bread of horse.
