I developed this short Oztry documentary in the hope of getting funding for a sailing adventure program for disadvantaged youth. the recipents included the prime minister. it was succesful and we recieved a grant for two million dollars. Unfortunately, after finding an old historic sailing ship called the Derwent Hunter, and aquiring a captain and first mate, along with gathering interest form the former producer of 'The 7.30 Report' and producer of the 2000 Olympic games in australia, the project fell apart due to, what I describe as emotional instability of some of those involved.
I directed, developed the script, completed the graphics, and went to a school during one of oztry,s programs and gathered media. I was able to get the editor of channel nones sports tonight, the camera and sound crew from 'A Current Affairs' most senior team, along with faye delanty, formely form 'Totally Wild' and 'Our House'. I was really happy with what I was able to accomplish when working with such a skilled team. Below are some examples of the extra media provided, a video cover and attached flyer.
