Depression

I painted this image using guache as I always wanted to try the medium. I doing so i discovered a new favorite form of painting. I never actually finished this a I was meant to redo it in oil on canvas adding more detail, which would have added a little more to the concept i was trying to portray aswell. I still might get back to it.

For people with depression it can feel asthought the world has slowed down and regardless of the environment it can feel asthough its only you that exists at times. I was considering this from the perspective of a statue in a dense garden. She is attracted to to the danger of the pointed blade of grass as it represents the possibility of selm harm which may allow her to feel something, the consideration is enough for pause while she contemplates her loneliness.
